Hear me roar

Thoughts on A Song of Ice and Fire so far. [SPOILERS]

So I watched Game of Thrones E6S2 tonight and I also finished A Feast for Crows. I love this story! I was a little disappointed tonight in the episode purely because I think the story is great and hate to see it changed in the slightest way.

I understand that you have to appreciate the series for what it is and they cannot fit everything in the show BUT I just don’t want to see it go down the Trueblood route and completely change the storyline. Especially because they did an amazing job of season 1. A few differences I don’t like already about this season are:

  • Daenerys’s dragons getting stolen, I may have forgot that happening but I’m 90% sure it didn’t happen at all.
  • Where are Meera and Jojen Reed??
  • We don’t see enough Cersei
  • Tywin Lannister seems to soft

I’m just about to start A Dance with Dragons and am heaps excited, even though George R.R Martin is fucked and keeps hurting the characters I like! Some of the things I hate that he has done to them are:

  • Anything bad happening to Cersei
  • Theon Greyjoy taking Winterfell
  • Ned, Catelyn, Robb all dying
  • The fact that Dany is just going to stay and wait in Meereen

And finally a few things I’m really looking forward to seeing in the series to come are:

  • Joffrey choking to death at his own wedding
  • The Red Wedding
  • Cersei vs Margery
  • Daenerys getting the Unsullied
  • Lysa Aryn getting thrown from the Moon Door

Just finished A Storm of Swords: Blood and Gold. Now onto A Feast for Crows.

George R.R. Martin you’re fucked!

Why do you hate the Starks so much? Reading A Storm of Swords: Blood and Gold and am seriously hating you right now!

Can I just say…

How fuckin’ sick is the first episode of Game of Thrones season 2!

When Cersei slapped Joffrey. Fuck yes!

And Dany! LOVE. HER.
